We offer quality of life, hospice care and humane euthanasia services. Often our clients wait to contact us when immediate end-of-life care is needed. Other times we begin a relationship at the time of early decline to help the client make decisions and/or provide palliative care at home. For all of our patients we are most concerned with pain management, providing the highest quality of care and creating a stress-free experience for pet and guardian. Below is a broad overview of the care we can provide.
A Quality of Life consultation with a veterinarian can help you determine appropriate care options for your pet. If you are struggling with how to move forward - we are here to help. During the consultation, pain level will be accessed, nutritional challenges will be discussed and the overall quality of life for your pet will be evaluated. We can support you in your decision making process regarding the timing of appropriate care for your pet which could include end-of-life or hospice services. We can also review your pet’s medical history with you so that questions are answered and expert guidance is provided.
The "Quality of Life Scorecard" can be a useful tool to help you prepare for your Quality of Life consultation with our veterinarian.

Home Hospice is available by referral from your regular veterinarian. This includes regular home visits by our doctors and experienced support staff, and allows for monitoring and maintaining your pet's quality of life in an optimal environment. For these patients we are most concerned with pain management, nutritional support and the ability to maintain a positive human-animal bond. Home hospice eliminates the stress of travel to and from the veterinarian's office for palliative care treatments.
We start with a comprehensive Quality of Life consultation with you and your pet in your home. After an initial visit, a continued plan tailored to the individual client and patient can be established. Continued care can be provided by our team or in partnership with your regular veterinarian.

Home euthanasia allows your pet to pass in familiar surroundings and provides a more comfortable environment for the pet and their human companions.
The euthanasia procedure is explained in detail at the time of the consultation by our veterinarian. All questions are answered and ample time is given to say goodbye. Our aim is create the most peaceful and pain-free experience as possible for the pet and their people.
Once the patient and their family are ready to move ahead with the euthanasia process, the veterinarian gently provides relaxing anesthetic medications to your pet. Often times owners will cuddle or hold their pet during this process. These anesthetic medications allow the pet to relax and slip into a state of unconsciousness in the loving embrace of their must trusted best friend. Once this peaceful state is reached a final dose of medication is given by the veterinarian to provide gentle euthanasia.
We also routinely assist with body transportation and cremation services. In addition, if your pet passes naturally at home, we can assist with final care arrangements.
